Lebenslauf

Simeon is a Ph.D. candidate at the chair for information systems and human centric AI in Bayreuth starting September 2023. He completed his Abitur in 2015 and pursued his technology passion through a Bachelor’s and Master’s program in Industrial Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. During his academic journey, he gained practical experience through internships. Drawing from insights at Trumpf, EMAG and CeramTec, he contributed to Daimler Truck’s autonomous driving projects in 2019. In 2022, he specialised in federated machine learning at the startup Prenode. That year, he also engaged in developing applied data analysis and forecasting concepts at Physician’s Computer Company in the USA. In addition, he focused on AI in production environments as a research assistant at the wbk Institute of Production Science from 2018 to 2022. He also collaborated with the Charité in Berlin on generative AI in the medical context.

 

Forschungsschwerpunkt

In the context of his research activities, Mr. Allmendinger primarily focuses on the process of AI-generated decision making.
